Polyphonic ringtones allow for multiple chord and bass layers, and even drum beats. This makes them instantly more desirable and popular, as it means that your favourite songs are easier to emulate and recognise.

Although many people think polyphonic ringtones are more expensive, this is not correct. Nowadays polyphonic ringtones are the same price or indeed cheaper than the usual monotone ones. Plus, the selection of tones available is ever growing!
