
Frans Bauer was born in Roosendaal, The Netherlands, on 30 December 1973. He is a popular Dutch singer of the so called "levenslied" "song about life". He grows up in a trailerpark in Fijnaart. Already in his youth, Frans Bauer wanted to become a singer after he was inspired by, mainly, Julio Iglesias, Elvis Presley and Koos Alberts a Dutch singer. Bauer's own singing carreer starts in 1987 when he releases his first single called "Ben je jong" with the Dutch producers, Rudi Schreijenberg and Emile Hartkamp. He becomes a famous local artist but his national fame comes when he joins the televisionprogram "All You Need is Love" in 1991 where he may chose two femal fans to go out on a date for one evening. In 1994 he has his first national hit with "Als sterren aan de hemel staan". In 1997 he conquers Germany with his alum "Weil Ich Dich Liebe". Frans Bauer becomes more popular every year and he even starts his own reality show called "De Bauers" in which he and his family is followed. He has won several awards and honors such being appointed as "Ridder in de Orde van Oranje-Nassau" and he also won the "Gouden Televizier-ring". In 2006 he was struck by an infection on his vocal cords but he was succesfully operated. Bauer also designed clothes for Vroom & Dreesman, which is a famous store.
