Monza

Monza is a Belgian rock band, founded by Stijn Meuris, originally a member of Noordkaap. When Noordkaap stopped making music, Meuris formed 'Monza'. Monza released 'Van God Los' in 2001. The singles 'van god los', 'de stad kan zo koud zijn' and 'de ogen van jenny' were big hits in Belgium.In 2005 they released 'Grand'. It's a very emotional record because the girlfriend from Stijn Meuris committed suicide. The singles 'dood aan alle meisjes' and 'rijkdom' were played often at the radio.They made the theme song for the 175 years of independence of Belgium &8220;Ik Hou van UJe t'aime tu sais&8221;. It was an adaptation of the Noordkaap hit &8220;Ik hou van u&8221; in collaboration with Marie Daulne Zap Mama.In 2008 they released the third album 'Attica!'. The first single is 'wie danst er nog?'. To promote the album they play in a circus around Belgium.
